Real Madrid continues to search everywhere for new talents in South America, having succeeded in acquiring many gems from there over the past years.
Real has recently been known for its strategy to acquire the most important talents on the continent, including Federico Valverde, Vinicius Junior, Rodrygo, and Andreí, and now it’s time for another player, Franco Mastantonio, the 16-year-old star from River Plate.
According to “TNT Sports Argentina,” Real Madrid has made contacts with River Plate to discuss the possibility of signing the player and integrating him into the first team when he matures in 2025, in a similar format to what happened with Andreí and Vinicius.
They also noted that the young Argentine playmaker, who excels in playing with his left foot, became the youngest player to score for his team in February last year, at the age of 16 years, 5 months, and 24 days, surpassing the previous record held by Javier Saviola.
It was further explained that Mastantonio has demonstrated his ability to play multiple roles since his involvement with the team. He can play in any attacking position in midfield and can also operate as an outright striker.
Real Madrid is expected to face a very tough task in securing the young star, as he is being closely monitored by several other clubs, including Barcelona, Manchester City, Borussia Dortmund, Benfica, Inter Milan, and Paris Saint-Germain. However, Real Madrid’s chances seem to be the strongest at the moment.
